Edward Wong is Environment Asia's General Manager. Edward has six years experience as consultant in charge of environmental consulting practices and sixteen years in senior positions with the Government of Malaysia. Edward is an accredited Environmental Auditor and has undertaken over 60 audits to Phase I & II ASTM protocols in Malaysia and the Asian region for various multinational corporations including General Motors, ICI, Emerson, GE, Shell and Toyota. He has managed or participated in a number of site investigations. Key experience includes:

  • Project Manager of EIA for quarry/pre-mix plant in Melaka, port development in Tanjung Manis, Rajang, Sarawak, Eastman Chemical plant in Gebeng, Kuantan, Second Malaysia-Singapore Crossing.
  • Peer review of EIAs for mixed development in Negri Sembilan, Johor and Melaka.
  • Project Manager of EIR for gas pipeline in Myanmar.
  • Environmental Consultancy for integrated development at Gelang Patah, Johor.
  • Environmental legislative review for Toyota and Chiyoda.
  • Compliance audits for chemical and manufacturing facilities in Seremban, Kuching, Kota Bharu and Kulim, Malaysia.
  • Environmental Management Plan for the Dedicated Highway and Taman Wetland in Putrajaya;
  • Phase I Site Assessment for Possehl Electronic (M) Sdn Bhd and MECO Metal Finishing Engineers (M) Sdn Bhd at Batu Berendam Free Trade Zone Phase III, Melaka.
  • Conducted Environmental Site Assessment of Miri Supply Base, Labuan Supply Base, Batching Plant Lutong and Sealine Engineering Workshop for Sarawak Shell Berhad.

Kee Wai Yee - B.Sc.(Hons), Regd. EIA Consultant (I00176) & NREB Reg. No. NREB/I/00255

Kee is a DOE Registered EIA Consultant with extensive experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, having completed more than 40 such projects to date. Kee is also a registered Environmental Professional with the Environmental Professional Registrar of Malaysia, EPRM (ENSEARCH) in the field of Environmental Impact Assessment. Key experience include the following :

  • Various Mixed Development Projects in the State of Selangor, Federal Territory, Pahang, Perak, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.
  • Highway Projects which include the Proposed Kuala Lumpur Outer Ring Road, Kajang Traffic Dispersal Ring Road, Dedicated Highway and the West Coast Expressway.
  • Feasibility Studies for the land readjustment at Kg. Kuantan and Kg. Seri Subang in Selangor and the feasibility study for flood mitigation of Sg. Perai, Sg. Juru and Sg. Jejawi-Tengah river systems in Penang.
  • Land Reclamation Projects in Pulau Indah and the Selangor Marine Industrial Park in Kapar.
  • Monitoring and auditing reports for the development Projects in Ukay Perdana, Prima Beruntung and Kajang Industrial Estate in Selangor; and the Berjaya Primer Beach Resort in Langkawi.
  • Environmental Management Plan for the Dedicated Highway and Taman Wetland in Putrajaya.
  • Environmental monitoring for stack and ambient air, VOC and SVOC for numerous industrial facilities.
